First it was "Unattached," and now it's
"Dirty Dancing," dropping victim to the remake disease. Hollywood
execs just can't leave the homesickness of the 80's alone. This remake is to be
focused by Kenny Ortega, who did the composition for the original "Dirty
Dancing." When you've got the director of the cheesy "High School Musical"
at the helm, you know that the reboot is going to be a miss— it will be watered
down for relations and have none of the sensual tension that set the original
on fire. Add to this to the detail that the new "Dirty Dancing" will
be a musical, and it's hard not to think that the remake will be totally needless...
