The writer of "The Crow" comic book, James O'Barr
had a few excellent words about a remake of the 1994 adjustment of his book —
he panned the director it was originally attached to and said it damaged the
memory of Brandon Lee, the actor who had died while shooting the original
movie. It appears O'Barr later came around, and broadcast in early July 2013
that he would be coming on board the construction as a consultant (possibly
because of the change in director), giving fans some small hope that this
adaptation might have some saving features. However, with a relatively new
director, an unknown actor (Luke Evans) cast as the principal after big names
like Bradley Cooper and Mark Wahlberg
turned down the role, signs are not seeing great for "The Crow"
